Tutorial: How to Make a Floral Kimono Cardigan

I know summer is ending soon, but lately I have been seeing these gorgeous light weight floral kimono cardigans everywhere and I thought to myself... I have a blouse that I can easily turn into one! So, I rummaged through my bags and bags of clothes and found this lovely floral blouse I had for quite some time. By far one of the simplest, easiest alteration and really took no time at all!

Check out my YouTube tutorial and be sure to subscribe, lovelies! :)

The before!

The after!

The back stayed the same since I only had to cut the front.

I wore my cropped bustier I made about a year ago, with some high waisted shorts and a tan belt. I kept the look simple so the floral print can stand out.

You can basically turn any kind of top into a cardigan with this method. I am so in love with this kimono inspired cardigan!

  1. Oh my goshh! What a brilliant idea! I have a slight fear of cutting my old clothes I no longer want, so I always end up giving them to charity! Never thought of turning a shirt into a cardigan by cutting the front off lol. Great post darling, you look ever so lovely! :)

    Much love, <3
